Graphics will not print

I am trying to print a flyer in powerpoint. The image is imported as a jpg
file. I am printing to a color printer, and all the settings are to color.
The file previews correctly but when I print only the text shows. I have
tried everything, I did get it to print under grayscale but the image is
horrible. Help.

How was the image inserted? Was it inserted via Format > Background > Fill
Effects > Picture?

I inserted it simply through the insert - picture menu. But I did get it to
work, the original file must have been locked. I had to open it in acrobat,
take a snapshot, and then paste it into powerpoint. Thanks for the response.
