GPO installs software EVERY time system restarts

We have several machines in our office that have the software deployed
to them via GPO. The software installs okay, however, it get's
reinstalled EVERY time the machine is rebooted. This wouldn't be so
bad, but the GPO is installs 20+ applications. I've inherited this
problem and I need to find a resolution before someone takes my head
home on a plate.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Scott

Typically when I've seen this its because there is some component in the MSI
package that was included as a "key file", but that exists in a temporary
folder that gets deleted when the app no longer is running. This usually
happens when packages are created using a snapshot mechanism, usually by
hand. If you remove the temporary file from the package, then the problem
usually goes away. The reason that it keeps reinstalling (or really probably
repairing) is that when a key file is missing, it is repaired automatically.

Darren,

Thanks! Hopefully this is exactly the little gem that I need to get
this cleared!

Thanks again,
