Hi,

for some reason the group policy results function in GPMC is not
functioning correctly. Most settings are displayed under 'extra
registry settings' in the report. The following line is also included:

Display names for some settings cannot be found. You might be able to
resolve this issue by updating the .ADM files used by Group Policy
Management.

Strange thing is that the ADM files are present, I can edit the
specific policy fine and set all policies. Only when generating a
report it reports that it cannot find the ADM files.

Server is Windows 2003 with SP1.

Hi,

You could try downloading the new ADM’s from Microsoft and replacing
all the ones in all the C:\windows\inf folders on all your DC’s.

Cheers,

Hi,

tha adm files located in the DC's inf folder and when opening '
administrative templates' from the Group Policy Editor are all dated
march 2005, thus the SP1 ones. It even happens with the office 2003
templates. I can set the policies, but the GP results function lists
them under 'extra registry settings'.
