I'm about ready to pull out my hair... I can change
settings in gpedit.msc and all is good. I can shutdown
or reboot and they all stay there. If I logoff... logon
(settings still there)... then reboot, I always (EVERY
TIME!) get a windows box while booting saying 'Applying
Computer Settings' that sits on the screen for a few
minutes. At that point, I login, go to gpedit, and
everything is lost - all is back to defaults. I'm doing
this as the administrator, so I don't think this is
a 'rights' issue. I've read about people having similar
problems with PCs in a domain, but this is a standalone
PC, it is not part of a domain. This is a fresh install,
with all the latest service packs, updates, etc. Am I
missing something obvious here?
