GP Locking Screen Saver

When we implemented the locking screen saver in a Global Policy, so that
workstations time out after x minutes of inactivity, the users lost the
ability to specify what screen saver to get.

Within Windows 2000, is it possible to activate a Global Policy to implement
the locking timeout, but still allow the user to specify the screen saver
(i.e. marquee, blank, starfield, etc.)

Hi,

If you don't configure the "Screen Saver Executable
Name" option, users can choose thier own screensaver. They
can also shut it off, by choosing "none" by the way.

Dennis,

I am just wondering why it is important for the end-users to decide what
screen saver is used? Please do not misunderstand me.
