GP for SUS Updates "Not In Effect"

D

David Reed

Hi Everyone,

I have a GP for my SUS Updates, applying to an OU (and several sub-OUs).

It used to work.

Now, it doesn't. It just doesn't seem to be applying to the computers in
the OU (and sub-OUs).

When I got to a client computer and run GPRESULT I do -not- see the "SUS
Server Updates GP" listed at all.

It just seems to have "been retracted", if you know what I mean.

Has anyone else seen this, or have any idea how I can get the GP to work
again?

Thanks,

David

Try modifing one of the settings slightly, such as the "RescheduleWaitTime"
then force a GP update on the client.

Hi David,

Well for starters see whether you are able to use the SUS
server to syncronise with the microsoft server, check if
there is a problem with your server/rights to the
specified directories. any IIS settings have been changed
and also administrators password.

do revert incase you still face a problem

cheers
