If this is in wrong section please advise...............

I have the google toolbar "integrated" with IE6 (running XP SP2 Pro). All
of a sudden the following is received:-

""We're sorry...
.... but we can't process your request right now. A computer virus or spyware
application is sending us automated requests, and it appears that your
computer or network has been infected.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the
meantime, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make
sure that your computer is free of viruses and other spurious software.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google.
To continue searching, please type the characters you see below: ""

.........input requested chars and get search results

This was first detected on host PC (run home network). All machines have
had full scan for virus's (Panda IS 2004 used) - none found and adware
spyware tools (Ad-Aware and MS Antispyware scans) used. No significant
objects detected. Everything cleaned but still same result. Check whith
friend and he doesn't have access problems so probably not Google issue but
mine. Wife and Son say they've not downloaded and installed anything between
Google working and not working correctly.

Any help in resolving woould be appreciated.

Hi barrowhill :)

You likely have other malware or hijacker on your system that the other
programs are unable to detect. The programs you have run do not have
detection files to detect and remove all the different every kinds of
scumware out there, only certain types. And if you did not run them in Safe
Mode with Hidden Files enabled, then you should do so, as Windows can hide
some files or prevent them from being removed.

Also, it is important that you download and install HiJackThis:

Jan,

Thanks very much for your detailed reply. Very useful information. I ran
various spyware removal tools in deep scan mode on all my pc's yesterday and
removed all traces, including so called negligble objects, of malware etc.
Also performed Virus scanning on all machines. Found some virus's, in
uninstalled zip/rar files on back drives. These disinfected/deleted.

This morning, when all completed, tested Google access from each
machine.....OK!
