Google Earth movies?

Any Google Earth (or Google Earth Plus) user had any success in making
short movies (MPG, AVI, or whatever) from GE sessions please? Whether
automatic 'Fly By' exercises, or manual navigation. But presumably the
first step is using a program to capture the streaming images, which
could be of *any* source? Recommendations for such capture programs
would be appreciated please.

Thank you for your interest in Fraps! Registration enhances the program

Yes. Fraps is not freeware. Using the free version for movies will get you
watermarks, limited length, and limited resolution. Their URL will appear
along the top border, and the word "DEMO" will appear on the right and left
sides. Nothing in the middle.

Thanks.

Shortly after posting I discovered a freeware program called Screen
Recorder
http://fly.to/bulent

"You can use the free trial version without any time limit! Price of
Screen Recorder full version is only $24.99."

I've been playing with it for an hour or so, and it looks fine.
However - and I'm not sure whether this is typical of all such
programs - SMOOTH originals became rather JERKY recordings. I had
Screen Recorder set to its max of 20 frames per second, and I would
have expected that to sustain the illusion of 'smooth continuity' that
I expect from such a recording.

So alternative (free) program recommendations would be appreciated
please, so that I can make a comparison.

Hopefully, someone here may actually have succeeded in making a
satisfactory MPG/AVI/WMV directly from Google Earth?
