Good books on Access and VBA for Access

M

Mellstock

I use Microsoft Access 2000 and have found the need to go beyond the
Access basics. I do not see the need at present to upgrade my software.
I have some VBA experience programming Excel but on a pretty much brute
force and ignorance approach (copying / lifting ideas from Macros) not
quite so easy with Access.

Do you have any suggestions of suitable books to guide me? i.e. an
intermediate book on Access and a basic book on VBA for Access.

I am interested in things like

Cascading Combo boxes (or data entry where previous entries in a form
limit future entries)

Seeing if a client already exists on a database (eg lookup on date of
birth, auto fill form for an invoice if client exists or fill out new
form for a new client)

E-mailing reports to partners automatically

Making a database user friendly so forms do not quite look so much like
forms etc

Thank you to all of you who have helped with my posts so far,

Kind regards.
