Going into hybernation automatically

My HP laptop, running XP Home SP2, goes into hybernation automatically if I
don't do anything after waking it up from pervious hybernation.

This happens only in this machine and not in other two that I have.

Is it generally observed?

About 5 minutes, by design. perhaps you have "extra" activity happening

That's a new update for me.

I know one of other laptop (a tablet pc) keeps on murmuring (HDD activity).
But my desktop is reletively silent. May be I have to modify my statement
"... not in other two that I have.", because, I never hybernate my desktop
and also I rarely shutdown it.

But if I remember, I have not observed this earlier. Is it a new feature
(that come from any of the "update")? - Just for info.
