Going from Win98 SE to win2000

I have contemplated going from Win98SE to Win 2000 for some time. My
hesitation has always been in getting the correct drivers, etc. for the new
operating system. I have a Dell Optiplex and Dell points you to part of its
website to get the drivers. I find determining which are the correct ones
somewhat daunting - although that could be just me. I have been told that
Win 2000 itself has a lot of drivers in the software. I guess my question
is, just how difficult is the transition? Thanks

A *relatively* painless upgrade is possible from Win98SE to Win2000. I
would be happy to assist you in this, however, I'm curious why you wouldn't
consider upgrading to Windows XP (Home or Pro)?

What is the hardware configuration of your Dell Optiplex machine?
