going back to previous folder using backspace key focus is lost in explorer

I like to combine using the mouse and the keyboard with two hands.
So when I for instance are in my mp3 folder and start exploring a particular artist folder I go into the folder with my mouse (right hand) and like to go back by pressing the backspace key. This allows for very quick drilling down and exploring.
On pressing backspace which brings me one level up unfortunately the focus is lost. This is particularly annoying in folders which contain a lot of subfolders.
If there is a fix available???

Of course it will. It doesn't mean back. Thjat Al;t + Left Arrow.
