Gif saved from Visio 2003 does not load in frontpage 2000 why?

I have a Visio Drawing of a process that I have saved as a gif file. This is
what I always usually do. Since I have upgraded to Visio 2003 I am unable to
do this. It loads if you save the file as a JPEG, but then the file would be
too big. If you try and condense this the quality is 'grainy'.

Can anyone please help?

Many thanks

How are you resizing/optimizing the jpg? Not with FP right? If so, don't use
FP. Use a third party image editor. I good one for this would be IrFanview
(it;s free).

Thanks for your reply. To use a third party editor would take too long for
the volume of documents that I have to load each day. It was quick to save
the Visio file as a gif and insert the image straight into FrontPage. If you
have any ideas I would be grateful, if not thank you all for your time.

Still the same idea...IrFanview can batch process; resize, rename and
optimize hundreds of images in a matter of seconds.

OR...if you can tell Visio a specific proportional size gif or jpg to output
that would be another way. Dunno...I don't use Visio.

Whatever you do you have to keep the proportions the same as the
original...and don't use FP to resize it just doesn't cut it.

Also, you shouldn't save an image directly into FP if that's what you mean
by; "insert the image straight into FrontPage" - you should be Importing it
in.
