.gif files

i am using aol9 and paint shop pro - when my friends make me a 'tag' for my
emails i find with vista i cannot save them as .gif - only as .bmp - which
when inserted in my emails just comes up all black and non animated - can
anyone help me change my settings please?

In Vista I think you are very lucky to even get PSP to work at all. My
version of preference of PSP is 7.04 and yes PSP 7 installs ok, but when
updated to 7.04 all hell breaks loose. Vista says the update did NOT
install properly and is verified by the fact that hardly any of the
functions in PSP then work.
Another issue, and this applies to any graphics program, when I make a
change to an image, and try to save it, Vista will NOT allow the change to
be made. I have to rename the image to save it.

Back to your issue, I have not had any problems saving images in the gif
format.

its 7 i'm using actually - and yes i can save them from psp in gif files but
when someone sends me something in an email i dont get the option to save as
gif - sorry i didnt explain it too well before
