Ghost Effect / Blending Video Clips

I'm not sure if this is possible but here goes:

My idea for part of my video is (basically): me standing behind a girl but
faded like a ghost. This kind of effect may consist of several things -
blending a clip of just me and a clip of just her together, and adding some
sort of opacity effect to the clip of me, maybe. I really don't know haha I'm
new and inexperienced. Is this at all possible?

Easily do able with Custom effects and transitions.
Familiarize yourself with the document and terminologies and techniques
mentioned in MSDN article:

thank you for those links! ill get right on it =) i also visited your
website, some very cool stuff on there. i hope you work out how to reverse
video, i actually was about to do that a while ago until i realised i couldnt
