getting updated current time in continuously running powerpoint

I would like to have the actual current time and date display on a slide in a
continuously running powerpoint 2003 presentation in a windows xp sp2
operating system. The time and date are current only the first time the
presentation cycles through. The ppt runs without any input from anyone...
it is displayed using the averkey device to a community tv information
channel within my homeowners association; therefore, the current date and
time must be completely automatic, without any input from a human. Anyone
done this?

thanks for the suggestion. I found your website last night and I loaded the
add-in after I changed "Macro" security to medium.... thanks for the warning
on that.

The AutoDateTime worked on a test file and I went to bed, relieved I had a
solution.

When I woke up this morning and tried to boot up.... nothing.... I tried
again..... nothing. So, I went into safe mode and went back to a restore
point from the 13th. My computer is working, but I have not gone near the
add-in functionality since last night. I am a little scared to do so. I am
using a dell 8500 Inspiron Windows XP Home edition, sp2, 1 gig in memory.
I'm using Office 2003. Any thoughts?

AutoDateTime is a PowerPoint add-in. it should not cause Windows to behave
in this weird way. A hardware component or a software driver is more likely
to cause that. Was there anything else that was installed on the machine?
Something like remote mouse, new graphics card, etc.?
