Getting Tropix.scr

[Joe Kirk News A]

I'm getting an error code called Tropix.scr. My screen goes black and a small window comes up
asking if I want to report the problem. I say no (the first several times I said yes and it
was reported) and then the screen returns to a normal status.

Any suggestions?

A quick web search seems to indicate that this is a "spyware." You
need to do a anti-spyware scan and a anti-virus scan in order to clear
this out.

However, you need to be careful as there is some evience apparently that
the scr file extension commonly used for screensavers is be used in
connection with malware:
