"Getting File Information" hang

[RLF]

I can no longer download "hypertext transfer protocol"
files from some websites anymore. I had a trojan on my
system, and removed it, but something is hosed.

If I "save target as" a "Getting File Information" dialog
pops up and it IE 6 hangs.

Anyone know how to fix it? I have tried reinstalling, but
this doesn't work.

Repair IE see if it helps.
Add/Remove Programs/MS/IE repair...


Look at your registry.
The restrictions that are available to Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1
The operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your system administrator.
Registry setting: NoSelectDownloadDir: Turns off Save on the File Download
dialog box.
Registry setting: NoBrowserSaveAs: Removes the Save As command on the File
menu.
