Getting error (0X800CCC78) trying to send picture

I have always been able to send pictures through Outlook Express. Now, when
I attempt to send a picture, I get a pop-up "Outlook send/receive progress"
screen that states: 'Task 'my name - Sending' reported error (0X800CCC78)
Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 530 Authentication required.' Anyone
have this problem?
This happened after loading recent Microsoft updates.

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.
