I just converted to Office 2007 and when I opened up an existing PPT it asked
if I wanted to convert. I said yes and now I get this message on each frame.
When you run the power point it does not show up on the display:
The linked image cannot be displayed. The file may have been moved, renamed,
or delted. Verify that the link points to the correct file and location.
Anyway to get this message to not display?
The same problem may've occurred whether or not you converted.
What's probably going on is this:
There was a linked picture in the original PPT file.
Picture links always include the full path to the linked picture and are
guaranteed to break if the picture isn't exactly where the link points.
If you move the presentation to another computer, for example, it's almost a
sure thing that the links to pictures will break because PPT can't find the
original picture. The same thing happens on all versions of PPT; the only
difference is that now instead of just a box with a red x, you get a box with a
red x AND a message (one that actually describes the problem fairly accurately).
If you have the original images, put them in the folder with the PPT/X file.
Then rightclick each missing image, choose Change Picture, pick the picture you
want to use to replace it and click Insert (or if you want to maintain it as a
linked picture, click the downarrow next to Insert and pick one of the link
options).
If there are loads of these things, have a look at our FixLinks demo at

The free demo will repair links like this, so long as you have the original
image files available.
