Gets Stuck

I note that when I go to the computer in the morning -- I leave it on for
backup, etc. -- sometimes the drive is active. When I send and receive it
gets stuck on the process for a while. I close it and open task manager and
see that Outlook is running in the background. I close it. Sometimes it gets
better and sometimes not. I reboot and I'm back to normal.

There may be two issues going on her at the same time.

We won't know until you tell us your version of Outlook and the mail support
mode. You could have a background send/receive going on, an archive in
process or any number of other items. Also provide any add-ins you may have
installed, such as PDA software, Franklin-Covey Plan Plus! or anything else
that interacts with Outlook.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal

Version 2002. I don't believe there is anything else that interacts. I use
the ms spyware beta and iHateSpam, but those are not new. I have also seen a
stuck Outlook once with an error: Can't remember the name of it but it had
the abbreviation "wnd" in it. You probably know about it. There are a few
posts on the internet in that regard. Haven't found an answer yet though. I
do use Copernic Desktop Search but I just checked it and the indexing has no
scheduling. I generally run it manually.
