The dotted lines you're referring to are probably there to show which cells
fit within the margins for each page. You get the same effect if you do a
print preview. To get rid of these lines, simply close & reopen the file.
Or significanlty easier do what the existing answer suggested:
Tools | Options | [View] tab - uncheck the box next to "Page breaks".
