How many times must this be downloaded and installed? Today it shows up in
my Priority Updates, for at least the third time in the last couple months.

It may be a priority for MS, but not for my safety and security.

Have you tried this ?

Uncheck it from the update list..just before DL the updates you want, then
it will ask you if you re sure about the unchecked update..

Sure, and check "Dont ask me about this update again"
