Generic sound card driver

Hi all.

I'm trying out Vista on a 4.3 performance system - or so says Vista -
with an XP Pro SP2 dual boot.
As a sound card, I have two actually: One is my Mackie Onyx Firewire
card, using XP drivers. Kind of works, but extremely "glitchy". And
Mackie look like they'll never touch Vista in the future. I also have
and old Aztech PCI sound card that works neatly under XP, but that Vista
doesn't seem to support and obviously Aztech has ceased supporting. Has
anyone seen generic Vista drivers for standard SB compatible sound
cards, like those you can find for Linux, for instance?
Note I've tried to point the XP drivers - well, XP found them itself, so
I pointed to everywhere I thought of on the XP install - to no avail.

Thanks.

Sam.

If your sound card manufacturer does not support Vista
with Vista-compatible drivers, then you need to consider
upgrading to a Vista-compatible sound card.
