A few things to try:

- Perhaps just re-registering some of these .dll's will fix it.

Click Start button, Run command and type in the text box:

Regsvr32 /i ole32.dll and click [OK] or Hit [Enter] on your keyboard.

Regsvr32 /i shell32.dll and click [OK] or Hit [Enter] on your keyboard.

Regsvr32 mshtml.dll and click [OK] or Hit [Enter] on your keyboard.

For the 1st and 3rd it says:

"ole32.dll was loaded but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found."
"This file can not be registered."

"mshtml.dll was loaded but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found."
"This file can not be registered."

My system was checked with NIS 2007 and Avast 4.7 with current definitions.

Additional info:
It was working earlier this week then stopped.
Didn't bother much about it. Did a Norton Ghost restore today to a few months
back. The shortcuts worked, then stopped again.
NIS 2007 and Avast 4.7 Home (Defns current) - Full boot and system scans.

They should register but I can't find a Google Groups article explaining
why they won't. Try disabling NIS and see if that allows Copy/Paste, or
allows the registering of dll's.

This article has many more .dll's which can be registered. They're for
IE6. Are you using IE7? We may be chasing the wild goose here, but OLE
used to be related to copy/paste problems.
