GeForce 7300GT vs GeForce 6150 video

I've got a computer with onboard video. I need a little faster video
response to play Flight Simulator 2004 with the better quality video
settings. I have a large LCD monitor and want to use it at its native
resolution of 1400 X 1050. Would also like to use our LCD HDTV with a
resolution of 1366 x 768. Haven't checked if that's an option in FS2004.

Rest of system is a Athlon 64 3700 San Diego and 1 GB of memory.

Flight Sims are pretty demanding and at that resolution I wouldnt look at
anything less than a 7600GT.

7300GT is a little weak for 1400x1050, I'd go with at least
7600GT as Sleepy mentioned, or a bit higher. like 79xx
series, maybe ATI instead depending on pricing but I prefer
nVidia drivers.

One issue would be whether FS2004 is really the only thing
you'd ever play within the life of the card, or if it's
worth some $$ to have more support for other semi-modern and
near-future games. 7600GT can't be expected to be viable
for very long at 1400x1050, unless you don't turn up the
eyecandy much in games.

When I move the computer to the TV, it will probably be used to play
back DVDs. But from what I understand, that is not as intensive as
flight sim.

True, TV out is not demanding at all.

Is that also true for DVD (isn't that 720i?) playback to HDTV (1366 X
768) using digital outs or HDTV outs?
