Hi,

2 days ago, I had installed at a pc store this card as I was told that yup
it was one of the best for playing Sims NightLife. Never had a problem
before with my ATI Radeon 7500 card (except for when NightLife came out),
until this one was installed! Ever since, the game has been pretty choppy,
jerky, and has awful graphic problems with all these different errors showing
up, to the point of where the computer will shut itself down, restart, then
come up with different types of error messages including: a serious sytem
error has occured, the nv4 disp display driver has stopped working, the
graphics adaptor in this sytem experienced an internal error and even
messages from microsoft saying it's a problem with the nvidia drivers. Now,
I'm not an expert whatsoever with these things, so I took it back to the
store yesterday, where they said they changed over the card to a new one, but
I am still having problems! I ended up uninstalling NightLife, to find that
I am having the same issues with Sims Uni! The PC store claims it has
something to do with spyware? As maybe an excuse for them? But since I have
only experienced this problem after having the card fitted, I know they're
probably just trying to palm me off! I've had my Microstar PC for 3 years
and 1 month. Could it just be that it's too old? If so, what else would I
need to upgrade for me to be able to have a seamless experience with
NightLife? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

1. Did the store first uninstall the ATI drivers?
2. Did the store properly install new Nvidia drivers?
3. Your power supply may be inadequate for the new card. Replacing it
with a better-quality, higher-wattage psu is the fix for that.

Not only should you check to see if the power supply is providing enough
power, you:

1) Should check to make sure that the GeForce 660 has the power connections
connected (a lot of people may not bother to connect the power to the video
card, especially if it is the first time that they install a video card that
requires additional power.)

2) Re-install the motherboard chipset drivers.

3) Check DirectX installation.

4) Remove the nVidia drivers completely and load the newer ones (from
www.nvidia.com)

5) Check with EA Tech support for possible other requirements/support
option and patches.
