How does one change the gamma rays setting for windows vista basic. I just
upgraded 2 months ago from windows xp. In windows xp a person can click on
advance settings, click color tab, then change the gamma rays setting. Does
any body know how to change the gamma rays setting for windows vista basic?

These colour correction settings (gamma, not rays) are a feature of the
video driver, not the OS.

If the driver for your video hardware on the Vista system doesn't include
it, that's why you don't see it. You would add it by changing to video
hardware and drivers that do. Be sure to check for compatibility *first*.

On this system (a Thinkpad R61) with Vista Business, it's right-click on
desktop, Graphics Properties, Color Correction, Gamma. But that's specific
to this system.
