Games file missing

Hi JC,

Yes there is a way to get that shortcut back .... so here goes

- First of all ... delete the icon that does not work. Just right-click it,
then scroll down to "delete".
- Now, click on "Start", then on "All Programs"
- Go down to where you see the folder called "Games"
- Right-click it, and select "Explore". A window will open where you'll see
the "Games" folder highlighted on the left pane, and the list of games on the
right pane.
- Right-click the folder called "Games" on the left pane.
- Scroll down and select "Send To"
- In the pop-up menu select "Desktop (create shortcut)
- A new "Games" shortcut will now appear on your Desktop.

Good luck, and I hope this helps.

I had Windows XP reinstalled because of a virus. At first we had the Games
(Free Cell, Solitaire, etc that were installed when we purchased the
computer a Dell.) Somehow between yesterday and today the file has
disappeared. If I click on the Games icon, I get a page of gibberish which I
can't understand, but it does mention the names of the games. Is there any
way I can retrieve the games file? Thanks in advance.

For those who tried to help, I am not trying to put a games icon on my
desktop. I am trying to find the missing games file. It was on Windows XP
when I bought the computer, but has disappeared after having Windows
reinstalled after a virus infected the computer. Is there any way I can get
the games back?
