Like so many of my students, these people just don't read with
comprehension and/or cannot be bothered to attempt to find an appropriate
group. I see this kind of thing in almost every microsoft.public.* group
I frequent, BTW.
Often, even if the poster is gently reminded and given the full name(s)
of one or more appropriate group(s), the OP never bothers to acknowledge
or post in an appropriate group.
While all of these things are true, I also believe that something changed
when Vista became available. I asked one post how he ended up in this
group, and he said through the Vista discussion group, and was unclear. If
you look at microsoft.public.windows.vista, there are not very many posts
there. Of course, not all the posts to the dotnet groups are Vista-related,
but I'm still sticking to my theory that something in microsoft.com
changed. We used to get one or two of these a month, now there are several
every day.
