Game crashing to desktop

Hello, I recently got Need for Speed Most Wanted and installed it. On the
first day it worked fine (except for slow loading times). But when I tried it
the next day, when I start a race, then it finishes loading, the game would
crash to the desktop.

I also realised I get an application error in the Windows Event Viewer the
same time that the game crashes. The error is as followed:

"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( ) cannot be found. The
local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL
files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the
/AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for
details. The following information is part of the event: 6."

Any ideas?

1. Does your computer meet the game's system requirements? Usually the
minimum system requirements listed will be inadequate.

2. Did you install the latest driver updates for your graphics and sound
cards? Get the drivers from:

a. The card mftr.'s website; OR
b. The motherboard mftr.'s website if hardware is onboard; OR
c. The OEM's website for your specific machine if you have an OEM
computer (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

3. Did you install any patches for the game from the game mftr.'s
website?

4. Depending on your computer's specs, many games require you to have
the minimum of other programs/processes running in the background. Is
your computer's startup optimized?

5. Don't forget to check on the game mftr.'s website for known issues,
tech support, and user forums.

Thanks for the replies. I have already re-installed, but it still happens.
But its weird, the first time I played it, it worked fine, but the next day
it didn't. And I didn't install anything new.

I sent a message to the EA Customer Support, I will see what they say.
