GAG 4.3 - A graphical boot manager

GAG 4.3

A graphical boot manager, with a lot of interesting features.

About:
GAG is a Graphical Boot Manager with a lot of features. It doesn't need a
partition, it works with primary and extended partitions in every hard
disk, it has a lot of icons, it allows you to put passwords for each
operating system, it can swap hard disks and it can be tested from
diskette. The SafeBoot feature allows you to boot your hard disk even if
GAG is overwritten. It includes extensive support for many languages and
keyboard types.

Changes:
The user can choose to hide all primary partitions (like in 4.1 or lower),
or hide only the minimum needed (like in 4.2). An ISO image to create a
boot CD with GAG has been added. A batch file has been added to simplify
the installation process under DOS/Windows.

Release focus: Minor feature enhancements

Tip: See competition (chart) at
<http://www.boot-manager.de/english/overview.html>.
Mostly shareware listed there, but still useful info for comparison.
Suggest reading their "criteria" page there
<http://www.boot-manager.de/english/criteria.html>, which you may
agree or disagree with. :)
Hmmm, no mention of XOSL...something of an oversight?

Ah, found this on the home page:
"For once and due to our experiences, we will go out on a limb (not
too far, of course) and recommend the following for boot managers:
Shareware."

....belive they listed XOSL in the past, but no longer. Back then they
did not rate it very high, for reasons found on the criteria page -
under "Files In Existing Partitions". Fwiw: Personally use XOSL my
self, and have for years. Love it. I don't mind some files in an
existing partition, dedicated or not, never caused any problems here.
But in theory...oh well :)

Likewise - though recently I had a spring clean and bunged it on its
own partition. Saves having to reinstall after re-installing windows.
It's never put a foot wrong - and if it was good enough for this chap,
then it's good enough for me!
