Gadgets multiplied and PC freezes

My calendar in gadgets has suddenly multiplied to approx 60 copies. Attempts
to click on gadgets then freezes the PC. Can only escape by switching off the
PC. Virus scans show no problems. What is happening

Have you exited Windows Sidebar, then reopen it to see if it resolves the
issue?

I re-installed the calendar and this worked. Thank you!
