Fuzzy Monitor

I have been using a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels and a DPI setting of 120 and everything was nice and clear. However, when I went to use the internet I was having problems with web pages loading words that were cut in half or words would be in entirely different places on the web page. After talking to tech support with AOL they told me to change the DPI setting to 96. I did, and now web pages are loading completely and accurately (yeahhh) but everything on my desktop is so tiny it is hard to see (boooo). I changed the resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels and it made things larger but now they are not as crisp....kind of fuzzy. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make things crisp & large?

Try the ClearType setting: Right click the desktop and select Properties.
Click the Effect button. On the next screen that appears, select "Clear
Type" for font smoothing. Click OK.

If this sharpens up the display for you but is a little too "heavy," visit
the ClearType Tuner for XP and adjust it:
