Full mailbox permissions Exch 5.5 vs Exchange 2003

When migrating 5.5 mailboxes using the Move Mailbox utility in Active Directory Users & Computers to the new Exchange 2003 server, full mailbox rights are causing unusual results. Users who had "User" permissions (Exch Admin, User properties, Permissions tab) directly on a Shared Mailbox can no longer Send As that shared mailbox. I can however give them Send on behalf, but previously when the mailbox resided on the Exch 5.5 server this was not necessary. Why is this happening. In Active Directory Users & Computers on the properties of the Shared Mailbox all users who were allowed User Properties show Full Mailbox access permissions on the Exchange Advanced tab, Mailbox Rights? We are running Windows 2003 mode with an Active Directory Connector running between are old Exch 5.5 and new Exchange 2003 servers.

Any ideas
Thanks
Nancy

Well actually you are in the newsgroup as this is about Exchange; not
Outlook.

Anyway; you can set Send As permissions on the Security tab of the User
object

Oops, that had to be "wrong newsgroup"

This is happening because the structure of the AD and Exchange 5.5 Directory
are completely different. For more details and possible workarounds you
should ask in the Exchange newsgroups.

Weird.....since I was only searching in the Exchange Newgroup?!!

I know that I can do it there.....I was just wondering why I had to add
permissions additionally on the Security tab when I already had those
permissions directly on the mailbox permissions as FULL MAILBOX rights?
