Hi
hope is the right newsgroup to post to.
I have a user that can access a ftp area and is able to see the following

c:\test
-->FOLDER1
file1.1.txt
file1.2.txt
-->FOLDER2
file2.txt
FOLDER2.1
file2.2.1.txt
etc
etc

Is it possible to create inside FOLDER2 a link to another directory (ex:
c:\test2) and let the user browse via ftp this new directory? (as is
possible to do using IIS)
Basically he would be able to see the following

c:\test
-->FOLDER1
file1.1.txt
file1.2.txt
-->FOLDER2
file2.txt
FOLDER2.1
file2.2.1.txt
NEW DIRECTORY (VIRTUAL - link to c:\test2)
etc
etc
I've tired to create a link inside the folder but when i access the area via
ftp i can only see the .lnk file and i can't browse it.
I'm using win2k server and BulletProof FTP Server
Thanks for your help

Instead of a link, create a virtual folder in your IIS manager for the FTP
site.

Nice. If you don't have luck here then I'd suggest asking in a bulletproof
support forum.

thanks

Yes, you can do it this way -- in fact, it is the only way to link to
another partition. You will also have to give that user permission to
access the linked partition|folder|file.

Check the BFTP help file and/or faq for an example.
