hi

I'd recommend FileZilla, freeware, no ads, no spyware, with a neat
interface. I've found it to work very well.

Seconded. By the way version 2.2.5 of filezilla has been recently released and I noticed the
following information from the version notes :
http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=21558&release_id=225419

Notes: Version 2.2.5 will be the last version of the old source tree. From now on all effort will be
put into the cross-platform version.

This looks interesting.

Seconded; great program.

Harv, ever try SendTo FTP? It puts FTP functionality in the SendTo menu,
just a right-click away. It's perfect for frequent site updates. It only
uploads so it doesn't replace our favorite little FTP client. :)

Yeah: I noticed that you got in with their first with the
recommendation this time around; I'll beat ya' to it next time the
question's asked. Maybe... ;)

The "send to" sounds good, but it's a bit of overkill for my use, as I
use my site more for occasional file transfers than for updated pages.
(And for storing some clips for my brother's site, as his web-space
allowance is seriously tiny. (4 or 5 MB -- yes, f-o-u-r or f-i-v-e;
and on a fast broadband account, too.)

Actually, these days I find I'm using Pablo's ftp server more than I
use his ftp client. He does really solid/clean programming -- I *love*
programas that are just executables, and which don't "install"
themselves.

Yes, I like them too. "1-File Wonders" are my specialty. I give *major
points for that. :)
