FTP access with IE 6.0 & SP2

This past week, the week of August 15th, Microsoft released server updates
and security patches. My ISP installed them and now I am blocked from
accessing FTP sites including my own as I understand it forced the change of
a port and I am told there at present is no solution to the problem. This
has caused a huge hardship for me to update important parts of my website,
etc. My machines that are affected run XP PRO and are fully updated. Does
anyone know about this problem and does anyone have a solution so that I can
resume accessing my FTP site?

Thanks for the help.

One of these should suit until the trouble is fixed:
