FSMO operation failed.

im trying to transfer FSMO roles to another DC. i tried "transfer
schema master" and it works fine. but when i try "transfer domain
naming master", i got this error.

ldap_modify_sW error 0x34>52 <Unavailable>
Ldap extended error message is 000020AF. SvcErrSID-032101BDM Problem
5002 (UNAVAILABLE)

The requested FSMO operions failed. The current FSMO holder could not
be contacted.

it has the same story for the rest of the roles..

any idea??

Did you by any chance reinstall any of your DC's which was holding FSMO role
using the same name ? I had this problem on few occasions, and I did a seize
of role to the same server, that already showed as it was holding that role.
To determine which server is holding which role use netdom query fsmo
command.
