frontpage slideshow problems

When I go to insert a slideshow gallery of photos into my page in frontpage
it says creating thumbnails then stops and freezes causing me to have to
restart the program all over again. Weird because it works fine in windows
98 but not in windows xp. Ivé uninstalled office xp and reinstalled it
again plus repaired it but no success. Anyone else out there know what to
do about this? I'm stumped...
