FrontPage Hosting help

D

Debbie Jo

the link is: InteriorAffairsLLC.com

I'm a newbie, so please be kind :)
I have done a web site in FrontPage '03. I used GoDaddy hosting. Everyone
can see the site on their PC's except for me. When I log on to the site from
my PC (Lenovo/Vista), I just see the first page...none of the links work,
nothing.

I have used FrontPage before with no promblems...however, it was not with
the new Lenovo.

I need some help please.

All of your hyperlinks are pointing back to your hard drive:
href="file:///C:\Debbies%20stuff\Interior%20Affairs%20Web%20Site\index.htm">

Recreate your links but make sure you don't browse "outside" of your root web folder when you do.
Your root web folder is the main folder that contains your web.

Additionally, you have spaces in folder and file names which will break links in a browser.

Replace the spaces with dashes - or underscores _

Thank you Steve!! I'll give it a shot. I think I know what I did wrong when
I was doing the links.

I'll post back with my results.

Thanks again!

Did you use Publisher to create that site?...looks like a Publisher
site....all that VML stuff - you shouldn't use textboxes or anything from
the FP draw toolbar.

No, I did it all in FrontPage.
Why should I not use text boxes?
Always willing to learn :)

When you say..."Recreate your links but make sure you don't browse "outside"
of your root web folder when you do. Your root web folder is the main folder
that contains your web."

Do you mean in the hyperlink section I should link to the file folder icon
(ie...index_files) OR the icon with the "e" (ie..index.htm (open) ) ??
