frontpage color picker eyedropper stopped working

That "color picker" thingy has stopped working in my fronpage 2003. It
worked under xp, but now that I've moved to vista, it seems to have stopped
working.

By "color picker" I mean that eyedropper-shaped thingy that appears on the
"more colors" screen when you want to pick a color for some object in
Frontpage. It appears next to the word "select." When I click on it, I get
the eyedropper just fine, but when I move it around, nothing happens, except
that the color it picks is always black.

Any ideas on what's going on here? Was it something I did as moved to Vista?

In the meantime, I've found an "instant eyedropper" tool which seems
to work quite nicely in Frontpage, and what's better everywhere else
as well. It's at http://instant-eyedropper.com/ and it's free.

The eyedropper isn't on the screen with the slider. In any case, the
location of the slider doesn't seem to have any effect on the eyedropper.

I'm having this same problem in FrontPage 2003 on my new Vista machine... in
all the color format boxes (ie: "More Colors"), you can click on a color in
the palette, but as soon as you click the eyedropper tool, it switches to
black and stays that way. The only way to enter a custom color is to paste
the hex code from another utility such as Instant Eyedropper or
Colourificator.

A good 3rd party program is dotcolor from www.inetis.com

It sits in the system tray and you can activate it from there on any program
