Frontpage / Calendar activeX

S

Steeeeam

Hi all,

Using FrontPage, I have created an intranet with various forms that write to
a sql database.
It all works perfectly bar one thing.....

I want one of the forms to have a calendar control from which the user can
pick a date, however, I'm having trouble getting the calendar activex in
FrontPage to write its results to the database.

Normally, I can erase and create fields on my pages at will, and as long as
I name them consistently with the fields in my database they appear to be
happy. The calendar control does not seem to work in the same way.

Any ideas how I can make this work?

Cheers

Suggest you search for JavaScript function, unless all of your site visitors will be running IE
browser and are willing to allow the ActiveX control to be downloaded to their machine.

To make a long story short, there are many 3rd party developers who sell
robust ActiveX controls. You should go find and buy what you need as the
stuff that Microsoft puts in the box of their products is almost always
either crippleware or the Notepad Edition. If you go into the ASP newsgroups
and start asking developers about their preferences you will learn a lot.

FYI: FrontPage comes with no ActiveX components.
