frontpage 2003 no access to remote server from local server

I have the FP 2003 version. I am trying to access the remote server from my
local computer and can't access the remote for whatever reason. Need your
help in this matter. Thanks for the help in advance.

Yes, there is an error message.

* The server extentions were unable to access the file httpd.conf. Causes
are the following according to the error window:
1 ) No FP server extention installed
2) web server out of service
3) If connect'g thru proxy server, the proxy setting may be incorrect
4) error may occur in web server

The first thing you should do is contact your host and go through that list
with them.

When FP program is open, I click on the "remote web site properties" ...
remote website properties window opens-up, click OK... then the error window
appears.

I had the same problem and my isp said FP extensions expire if site isn't
updated for 2 months. They told me to deactivated and reactivated FP
extensions yesterday but today when I published site, the link buttons didn't
show up on internet. They always have before and I didn't change any
settings just text. What is happening?
