Frontpage 2002, Publish Web is disabled, also image help

Hello,

I am working in Frontpage 2002, and I wish to publish my site. However,
the "File -> Publish Web" option is grayed out/disabled. Does anyone
happen to know why this could be happening, and even better,
suggestions to fix it?

Another problem: All of the pictures are clear boxes with the little
white page image with an X in it in the upper left corner. Again, any
help is appreciated.

Sorry if I seem clueless, but I'm only using Frontpage because my
Dreamweaver is incompatable with my hosting company so I just
switched... I've only used Frontpage once or twice before.
Thanks again!

-James

You must have created a web and have it open, *not* just a page.
And, with your web open, you must file | import your pictures into frontpage
before inserting the images on a page and saving.

In Fronptage, you have to open (File > Open > Web) a site to publish it.
You can't just start working on a site - its not the same with MS Word where
you are presented with a blank document and you just start typing, then save
the doc. Frontpage requires you to\

1) create a new web because it has files and folders that make it work and
it has to set these up initially.

2) you need to open a specific web (not just a page) everytime you work on
that web - some features (like Publish) are greyed-out unless the web is
open.

You need an open web when working with any files within it - that might
account for your missing images as well, or you need to import the images
from elsewhere on your computer (if not in the images folder within your
web.)
