front page will not delete images when publishing

I have had my web site for two years now, but lately everytime I go to
publish after removing some images, Front Page will not remove them from the
website. I have recalculated hyperlinks on both the website and on front
page before publishing. I have uninstalled FrontPage and reinstalled. After
I publish I check the site to see if the images we're removed and they are
still there, the only way to remove them is go to the site and remove them
that way.

Every time you re-install FP, you are have to do complete publish to or from the live site.

Try this, open the live site in FP, and then delete your images, then publish the live/remote site
to your local machine, first letting FP overwrite everything, then again with Change Pages Only
selected.

Also make sure the FP was/is the application being used to place or modify content on the
live/remote site
