Front Page Help

After using front page to udate my website daily for over five years without
problems, when I try to publish from my local server today I am getting error messages that read.

server error cannot open file.destop.ini.tmp

I have a file called destop.ini on my local, but do not understand what tmp is
or why the server can not open the file.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
