From Vista to XP

I recently (6 months) purchased a Sony Notebook with Vista pre-installed. I
now want to install a copy of XP I own, and not being used on this computer.
I wrote Sony and asked if this would cause any problems. Although this seems
like a very simple question, can anybody tell me if there is likely to be a
problem in doing this

Thanks - Ron Harries

You might have a problem if Sony doesn't provide the XP drivers for the
hardware in your notebook. Ask them.

George W Bush, WORST pRESIDENT EVER!!!

Even though I am a Canadian, I agree with you re Bush. I was never so happy with the US as I was a week ago. Re the problem. Sony can't or won't tell me is they will provide the drivers and suggest that I contact Microsoft. I think the thing to do is to try to install XP. If it works great, if not, I'll re install Vista.

What is your choice of op systems Vista or XP.

Xp! I suggest you go to Sony's support website and see if you can find the
drivers (chipset, sound, network, etc..) yourself BEFORE you install XP.
Without them, your XP install will not work!
