frmcache.dat

This frmcache.dat issue popped up on our CEO's system about 2 weeks ago.
Basically she tried accessing her calendar and got a message about a form
not being accessible, I googled for it and found that renaming or deleting
the frmcache.dat file in c:\documents and settings\%username%\local
settings\application data\microsoft\forms\ resolves the problem by forcing
outlook to create a new one. Cool....fixed right? ...WRONG.

Now not just did this problem occur AGAIN on the CEO's machine and the same
resolution again fixed it for the time being, now I have 3 more users with
the same problem! For the CEO I created a script that deletes the
frmcache.old file and renames the frmcache.dat to frmcache.old to solve it
for her if it happens again (and again apparently) however I'd prefer to not
rely on scripts to just run to solve problems when they occur again, I'm
hoping someone knows of a permanent fix for this?

Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Pro SP2 using Exchange Cached Mode to an Exchange
2003 Enterprise Server.

Anyone got any ideas?

What is the exact build number of Outlook you are using? Service Pack 1
resolved a lot of the issues and SP2 is out now as well. If you haven't
updated yet I recommend you do that first, reset the cache (including the
subfolders) and try again.

"reset the the cache" - I assume you mean exit outlook, delete or rename the
OST file then start outlook again and let it build another OST?
