frequent restarts

my computer just randomly restarts itself. then when i loads back up it says the system has recovered from a serioius error. i send the reports and first it said the graphics driver was causing th problem. so i downloaded the update and it still does it. now recently it says the cd writing engine is causing the error. i downloaded the update for that and it still restarts all the time. its really frustrating and i wonder if anyone has that same problem or if someone knows how to fix it.
